Can I buy a number plate as a gift?
Yes. Plates can be purchased and held on a retention certificate in the recipient's name, making them ideal for milestone birthdays, retirements, weddings, and gifts for new drivers.
How long does a plate transfer take?
Standard DVLA transfers complete in 10–14 working days. Retention transfers (where the plate isn't going directly onto a vehicle) are usually faster, often within 5–7 days.
Do I get paperwork proving ownership?
Yes. Every plate comes with the relevant DVLA certificate — V750 for unregistered plates, V778 for retentions — plus our own Certificate of Authenticity and full purchase history.
