Can any car have a private plate?
Yes, with two rules: (1) the vehicle must be UK-registered and roadworthy, (2) a dated plate cannot make the car appear newer than it is. Dateless plates bypass this second rule entirely.
How much does it cost to transfer a plate?
DVLA charges an £80 transfer fee. Our sale price is fully inclusive — you pay us once and we handle the transfer fee and paperwork on your behalf.
